
I picked this car up about 7-8 years ago when I was traveling between Medford and Portland on a weekly basis. At the time I was
driving a 1980 Chevrolet Luv and was tired of making what was a 6 hour trip back and forth at basically 50mph. One day on my way
home from work in Portland I saw this beautiful black sports car for sale and new I had to have it. I new nothing of the cars
potential but new it was a lot faster than my slow little Luv truck that I was driving and a lot better looking! I drove the car
stock until I blew the motor and fried the clutch leaving the car un-drivable. The car was then parked out under a tarp for the
next 3 years, which completely destroyed the interior. I then need to make a choice. Either sell the car to junkyard with four
flat tires, a rotted interior and blown motor and clutch, not to mention dents and dings on every panel of the car or fix the
car up and breathe new life into it. Well I decided to fix the car up considering I used to love driving the car and looked
forward to the challenge of what would turn out to be a full restore. So that decision was made in 2006. Since then I have learned
a lot about my car and built a car that suits my driving style. I am not even close to having the car where I want it to be
mechanically or cosmetically and have many more major modifications planned for the future including a GT2871R turbo upgrade with
an Apexi Power FC management system. I also have plans to eventually rebuild both the bottom and top ends of the motor with
aftermarket components and a 2-way LSD to put all that power to the ground. Will this car ever be done being built on and modified
even further...probably not.
