
My 2003 Mustang GT has came a long ways since it was bought new. In October 2003 I traded in my 2001 SVT Lightning for a brand new mustang GT.
The car started out with the normal bolt on’s, exhaust, intake, upper plenum, throttle body, tune. Etc. I was slowly learning how to drive it
and then I bought a NX nitrous wet kit with all the goodies, remote bottle opener heaters gauges, etc. After learning to drive the car with
it I ran a best time of 12.4 @ 113. I then had a bad mishap and had a nitrous backfire through the intake, exploding my plastic upper intake
manifold into a million pieces and bending a valve. So believe it or not ford replaced the head and it was back to stock. I sold then sold
the nitrous and went back to just N/A and ran a best of 13.1 @ 104 with just bolt on’s. I then got the urge to boost it. So I bought a 8lb
procharger supercharger kit and with that I put down 394hp @ 393tq. I had a little to much gearing in the rear end and never got a full run
with it. But on street tires I ran 12.8 @118, coasting across the finish line. In August of 2005 I blew a ringland off a piston. I then bought
and installed the setup I have now in May 2006, which is capable of handling 900hp.
I have sold the Procharger kit and bought the superior Paxton Novi 2000 supercharger Kit. I finally bought all the necessary parts to install
the kit. So I will be installing the supercharger kit with the next few weeks. I will be boosting 16-18 psi out of it, which is good for 550-600.
Although I am not sure exactly what it will put down until it does.
